Contract Terms
Loan Agreement
When you enter into a loan agreement with New Bond Street Pawnbrokers, you’ll receive pre-contractual information before signing any agreement. Our contracts are designed to be flexible and accommodating to your needs.
Loan Duration and Redemption
Our standard loan term is up to seven months, with a minimum period of two months. You can redeem your item by repaying the loan at any point within this timeframe without being penalised for early termination. Interest is charged from the loan date and on the same date each subsequent month for the contract’s duration.
Interest Rates and Repayment
We offer competitive fixed monthly rates at 5% (60% per annum), with loan terms ranging from two to seven months. For example, a two-month loan of £2,500 would incur £250 in interest, resulting in a total repayment of £2,750. This equates to a 5% fixed monthly interest rate (60% per annum, 67.3% APR).
Item Ownership and Storage
While your pledged items are held with us during the contract period, they remain your property until the contract expires. We store your valuable items with the utmost care, using appropriate methods tailored around the asset type.
Contract Renewal
After seven months, you have the option to extend your loan contract. To do so, you must pay all accrued interest in full. Once we receive this payment, we can renew the contract for another seven months under the same terms.
Regulatory Compliance
As members of the National Pawnbrokers Association and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, we adhere to strict regulatory standards in all our contracts.
Legal Jurisdiction
Our contracts are governed by the laws of England and Wales. However, your local law will prevail if you reside elsewhere in the United Kingdom, such as Scotland or Northern Ireland.
Client Requirements
To use our services, new clients must provide a photographic ID (passport, identity card, or driving license) and proof of current address (a council tax or utility bill no older than three months). In accordance with GDPR, this information is kept strictly confidential and not shared with third parties.
